Cake Care

Transporting Your Cake

Carry your cake box from the bottom and hold it upright. Place your cake on a flat, level surface; we suggest the floor in front of the passenger's seat. Seats and laps are not level. Your vehicle should be enclosed, air-conditioned, and free of loose objects that could roll into the cake. Keep your car and cake as cool as possible during transport and away from direct sunlight. Drive carefully and perform stops and turns slowly. If possible, choose a route that avoids uneven roads such as gravel, steep hills, and speed bumps, especially with tall tiered cakes.

Traveling to Your Destination

For the best results, travel straight home or to your destination, especially in warmer months. Please avoid making any stops along the way. Plan your trip so that picking up your cake is your last errand.

We will not replace or refund cakes if they become damaged once they have left our supervision, so please take care with your cake.

Serving Your Cake

Cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature, but they should be stored in the fridge. Take your cake out about 90 minutes before serving to allow the buttercream to soften.

Remove any non-edible decorations, such as flowers, toys, and cake toppers. Please note that toothpicks, floral wire, and dowels may be used as supports, so always inspect the cake closely and supervise small children.

When cutting your cake, maximize servings by slicing it like a party pizza. Cut in rows, not wedges. Check out this method for more servings. Click here

Please remember that our kitchen is not allergy-free. Cakes may contain allergens such as nuts, so always inform your guests before serving.

Saving Leftovers

Cakes

Use parchment paper or plastic wrap to cover the cut edges of the cake to prevent it from drying out. Store the cake in the fridge and enjoy it within a few days. If you'd like to freeze leftovers, wrap individual slices in plastic wrap and freeze them for up to 2 months.

Macarons

Macarons will keep in the fridge for up to a week. If you'd like to store them longer, place them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Cupcakes & Cookies

Cupcakes and cookies are best enjoyed right away due to their short shelf life. You can store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Brownies & Bars

Brownies and bars can be kept in the fridge for up to a week in an airtight container.
